In 1847, Massey Ferguson was founded by Daniel Massey as a manufacturer of agricultural tools and machines, which were founded as a small simple agricultural instruments repair workshop in Newcastle Ontario and Canada. In 1953, the present structure was formed with the merger of Massey-Harris and the British Harry Ferguson Limited. The most characteristic feature of Massey Ferguson tractors is that they are only red. Massey Ferguson is a brand of US company Agco Corperation.

Massey Ferguson 65 was built to follow the successful Massey Ferguson 35 as a tractor with a higher horsepower. MF 65, 65 HP (48 kW) had a Perkins engine. In 1964/5, Massey Ferguson was replaced by 165. The MF 65 was released in 1958 to complete the Massey-Ferguson 35. Massey was built by Ferguson Do Brasil SA in many factories around the world, including the USA and Brazil and by Belgrade in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. 1964/5 - Massey Ferguson 100 Series program was replaced by the new Massey Ferguson 165.
