In 1953, the present structure was formed with the merger of Massey-Harris and the British Harry Ferguson Limited. The first six -cylinder model of the 3000 series was MF 3080. The technical hardware was adapted to the 3000 series. The amount of injection in the engine was changed in 1988. As with four -cylinder models, this resulted in an additional output of three HP.
