The BMD-4 is a modern Russian-tracked infantry war tool (IFV). The first prototypes of this car appeared in the 1990s and production began in 2004. The total length of the car is 6.36 meters, the width is 3.11 meters and the height is 2.45 meters. In the basic version (BMD-4), a single diesel engine with power up to 450 HP is provided with 2V-06-2 and allows the maximum speed of 70 km / h on the road. The vehicle consists of a single 100mm 2a70 ball, 30mm 2a72 automatic ball and 7,62mm PKT or PKMS machine gun. The vehicle can also fire 9m117 Bastion and 9m113 Competition ATGMs.

The BMD-4 was developed as the successor of the BMD-3 and is actually its comprehensive modernization. Like its predecessor, it has been designed for Russian air download troops from the very beginning. Compared to the previous model, it differs mainly in terms of the ability to ignite the 9M117 Bastion bullet expanded with a 100 mm ball. Interestingly, the BMD-4 crew has been reduced to only 2 people and 5 soldiers compared to 7 soldiers in the UND-3 soldiers and 5 soldiers. It is also worth adding that the BMD-4 has the ability to move in the field, that it is relatively light for a vehicle in its class and has the ability to overcome water barriers without requiring special preparation.
