9K52 łuna-m (NATO name: Frog-7a) was the Soviet short and medium-range tactical missile system. 9P113 launcher and 9m21 missiles were used in the system. The missile was a single -stage, solid -fuel missile with a range of 12 to 68 kilometers, capable of carrying a war heading up to 500 kilograms.

The first examples of the 9K52 łuna-M system, which were still prototypes, appeared in the early 1960s, and the system was probably completely working in 1964. The 9P113 launcher was based on the experience learned from the operation of the 2P16 launcher. Radical shortening of design work. Various development versions of the 9m21 rocket were created, three of them were the most important. The first is 9m21 F using 200 kg accumulation and destruction heading. During the Cold War, it was used in many armed conflicts, including the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988) or the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan (1979-1989).
