CHTZ S-65 Staliniec, both in civilian use and in the period between the two wars and II. It was a Soviet tractor used by the army in World War II. It was developed in the mid-1930s and mass production continued in 1937-1941. The vehicle was running with a single M-17 diesel engine up to 72HP.

The first work on the CHTZ S-65 was conducted in 1932 at the Chelyabinsk tractor factory. The new vehicle was developed on the basis of the previous tractor S-60 produced in these facilities. The S-65 tractor weighed 11 tons and was designed for heavy field works and therefore had a considerable capacity. However, the final speed was quite low and its range was around 80-100 kilometers. Despite these deficiencies, the Red Army was used by the 203 mm B-4 howitzer to pull heavy and very heavy balls. However, in the first period of the Barbarossa Operation in 1941, a large number of Chtz S-65 tractors passed into the hands of the Germans.
