Daring or Type 45 is the name of a class of modern British gas turbine and diesel motor missile destroyer. In 2009, the first unit of this type was put into service at the Royal Navy. To date, six units of such types have been built and all of them are in active service. Type 45, 152.4 meters long, 21.2 meters wide and 8,500 tons of displacement. The maximum speed is probably exceeding 30 sea miles.
