Grumman A-6 Intruder was the American settled jet attack of the Cold War and Modern times. The flight of the plane took place in 1960 and the machine was put into service in 1963. In total, approximately 690 aircraft of this type were produced. In the A-6 version, the provocation was provided by two Pratt and Whitney J-52-P8B engine with 41 kn pushing power. The machine did not have a permanent built -in weapon. However, it could carry a bomb and rocket load up to 8,200 kg.

GRUMMAN A-6 Intruder was developed as the successor of the A-1 Skyraider piston motor aircraft. The US navy described the new machine as a jet engine, as well as a plane that can work in all weather conditions. It is also worth adding that the aircraft is first designed for low and medium altitude flights and flights at six speeds. Finally, a successful machine was created during the Vietnam War (1964/1965-1975) and the First Gulf War (1990-1991). Several versions of this aircraft have been developed, among them: A-6A (first mass production version), A-6C (version adapted to night operations) or A-6E (the latest version of the aircraft with absolutely modernized avionics). It is worth adding that the EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare is also developed on the basis of A-6. A-6 aircraft were not exported.
