LAV25 is a modern Canadian-American wheel infantry war tool (IFV). The first prototypes of the vehicle were created in the early 1980s and mass production was started in 1983. The LAV25 is running with Detroit Diesel 6V53T motor with 275 HP. It is equipped with 25 mm m242 automatic ball and two 7.62 mm machine guns.

The LAV25 was developed for the needs of the US Marine Posts (UMSC), looking for a mobile and well -armed IFV in the early 1980s. The vehicle is largely based on the solutions of the Swiss Pirania vehicle, but it has a modified transfer organ, new main weapons and other electronic systems. LAV25 turned out to be a highly successful car. The maximum speed is high, it is mobile, it has the ability to overcome obstacles in water, and it can also be transported by C-130 Hercules. Many advantages made Lav25 a starting point in the development of the Stryker family cars. LAV25 vehicles are used only by the US Marine Corps and the Saudi Arabian army.
