Ził-157 is a Soviet truck of the post-war period. The car was first presented to the public in the second half of the 1950s, and mass production continued in 1958-1992 at the Ził factory in Moscow. In total, approximately 798,000 cars of such types were produced. The drive was provided with a single 6 -cylinder engine of 109 HP. Power transfer was provided with a 5 -speed transmission.

Ził-157 was developed as the new basic truck of the Soviet army and was made into production. Later, it was planned to be replaced with Ural375 or Ził-131 cars, but the design was so successful that its production lasted until the beginning of the 1990s! During the long production period, the vehicle went through two major modernizations: the release of the Ził-157k model in 1961 and the release of the ZIL-157KD model in 1978. During the long service period, Ził-157 was first used as a shipping tool, but special versions such as tanker tools or command tools were created. The car was also licensed as Jiefang Ca-30 in the People's Republic of China. It is worth adding that the BTR-152W armored personnel carrier is developed on the Ził-A-157 chassis.
