Gaz-66 is a light, civilian and military truck. The first copies of this car appeared in the early 1960s. In 1964-1999, mass production continued. Approximately 960,000 cars of this type were produced in the course. The drive is provided with a single 8 -cylinder engine of 115 HP. GAZ-66 was created as the successor of the Gaz-63 car, which turned out to be one of the most successful trucks produced in the Soviet Union. First of all, it is a four -wheel drive car that has a mechanism that regulates rubber pressure and allows it to move freely in both Siberia and the desert. It is also famous for its reliability and durability. Care and repair is also relatively simple. The basis of this very successful car was created on gas-66B (a truck adapted to air transport and parachute) or GAS-66D (an increasing engine power truck). GAZ-66 was exported to many countries, including Poland.
