M915 is an American heavy truck of the post -war period. The first copies of this vehicle entered the US Army line in 1978. The drive, the M915A2 version Detroit Diesel DDEC II is provided with a single engine of 400 HP.

In the late 1970s, the US Army reported that new heavy trucks were needed. However, it was decided to buy a suitable car from the civilian market, not to be developed from scratch to reduce purchasing costs. Finally, he won the new car delivery competition in 1977 with Am General Company M915. This truck is actually a slightly modified civilian version of the Centaur truck series. During the production, several types of this car were created, among them: M915A1 (the first version produced on a large scale), M915A2 (Model produced with a stronger engine in Freighttlineer) or M915A5 (Iraqi adapted to operations in Afghanistan) and Iraq with reinforced structure and armor elements).
