The T-55 is a Soviet main battle tank from the Cold War period. The first prototypes of this vehicle were produced in 1956-1957 and mass production in the USSR started in 1958 and lasted until 1981. In this process, approximately 27,500 vehicles were produced - only in the Soviet Union! The war weight of the tank increased up to 36 tons. The drive was provided with a single W-55 engine with a capacity of 580 HP. The main weapon was the 100 mm D-10T2 model 1944 tank ball and consisted of secondary weapons, 7.62 mm SGMT machine gun and 12.7 mm DSZK machine gun.

The T-55 tank was the improved state of the T-54 and was seen as the main battle tank (MBT) like it. The main differences between the two vehicles were about the use of a stronger engine in the T-55, as well as a slightly different model of the 100 mm ball. In addition, modernizations such as increasing the ammunition stock transported or serial stabilization of the weapon vertically and horizontally were brought. As a result, a very successful car was created in the 1950s and 1960s, perceived as one of the best in the world in the world. The vehicle was also exported and licensed to many countries around the world (eg Czechoslovakia or Poland). The six-day war (1967), the War of Indo-Pakistan (1971) and the Iraq-Iran War (1980-1988), including 1945, was used in many armed conflicts in war.
