Zepplin P type (or: class p) is a term used for a German aircraft class from the First World War. The flight of the prototype of the aircraft in this class took place in May 1915. During production, 22 such aircraft were created. The drive in the first units were provided with four Maybach 3m CX motors, each of which was 210 HP. Zeppelin was 163.5 meters long and the crew consisted of 19 people. The deck weapons consisted of 7 to 8 7,92 mm machine guns. The machine can also carry a bomb load up to 2,000 kilograms.

Zeppelin P type is a type of zepplin for the needs of both the German army and the navy. The main objectives of such aircraft were the patrol tasks on the Baltic and the North Seas and the bomb attacks on the Great Britain in the period of 1915-1916. Army Air Ships also served on the west, east and southeastern fronts. This type of zeppelins were created as modernization of M -type aircraft, and the real change was to increase their dimensions and expand the flight range. In subsequent versions of this type of air ships, more powerful new engines were driven. At the end of 1915, class P Air ships were supported and replaced by the Q model, which was even greater in size and could reach higher altitudes.
