Model Specifications

  • 75mm Giant Gun Mechanism (BK 7.5): The huge 7.5 cm cannon system hanging from the nose of the aircraft, which made the B-3 variant legendary, is included in the kit complete with the bullet loading mechanism and recoil units.
  • Full Interior: Not just the cockpit; The aircraft's in-fuselage ammunition stores, engine components and structural skeleton have been fully modeled.
  • Display with Transparent Parts: Thanks to the transparent outer body panels included in the box, the complex mechanical details inside are visible from the outside without painting or strategically leaving them transparent.
  • You can make it.
  • Gnôme-Rhône 14M Engine Details: The aircraft's twin engine is detailed at the "Armor Pro" level, including its entire cylinder structure and exhaust outlets.
  • Photo-Etched (PE) Parts: High quality metal detail set for seat belts, engine grilles and precision sight details are included in the box.
  • Scale Advantage: Thanks to the large surface area offered by 1/48 scale, it is very satisfying to paint both the rivet details on the outside of the aircraft and the small gauges inside.

Hobbytime Model Information

The Henschel Hs129 is a classic tail, low-wing, twin-engine, single-seat, all-metal German attack aircraft from the Second World War. The prototype flight took place on 25 May 1939, mass production started in 1940, but its entry into service was in 1942. A total of 865 units of this very successful aircraft were produced. The Hs129 was an aircraft designed to destroy both ground support aircraft and enemy armored vehicles. The general concept was similar to the Il2M3 or Junkers Ju87G. The aircraft was therefore very heavily armed (20 mm to 75 mm guns) and heavily armored. During the battles on the eastern front, the Hs.129 was the main "anti-tank aircraft" of the Luftwaffe, along with the Ju-87G, and proved very effective. Its only, but significant, drawback was the lack of effective defensive weapons. Three development versions were created: A, B and C; The most important of these are the first two. Version A was powered by two Argus As-410A-0 inline engines, each with a power of 430 km/h, while version B used two Gnôme-Rhone 14M radial engines, each with a power of 700 km/h. Version C never entered mass production. Technical data (Hs129B version): length: 9.75 m, wingspan: 14.2 m, altitude: 3.25 m, maximum speed: 407 km/h, rate of climb: 8.1 m/s, maximum range: 690 km, maximum ceiling height: 9000 m, armament: fixed - 2 MG131 machine guns (13 mm caliber) and 2 MG151/20 cannon (20 mm caliber), underslung - bombs up to 300 kg.
