PL-01 model features

• It consists of plastic parts.

PL-01 Concept is a modern, prototype tank of Poland production (referred to as a direct support tank). The standard weight of the vehicle is 30 tons and will increase to 35 tons with additional armor panels. The prototype provides with a single 940 HP engine. The wagon will be about 7 meters long, 3.8 meters wide and about 2.8 meters high. The basic arms will consist of a 105 or 120 mm ball and a single machine gun of 7.62 mm. In addition, a remote -controlled weapon module will be installed on the vehicle, including a machine gun and a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.

The PL-01 concept was created in collaboration with the Polish Obum facility and the British defense institution UAE Systems and the vehicle's model was first presented in 2013. It can be assumed that the vehicle is designed as an element. To ensure the most effective fire support to the infantry of Poland mechanized units and the IFV with the same firepower as the MBTs, but with better performance and better maneuverability. In addition, the high technological progress of the structure, which includes modern electronics and modular and multi -layered armor, such as SKO, has been assumed. Very modern thermal shields would be used to make it difficult to detect the devices using infrared. Currently, the PL-01 concept has not yet entered into production and has not been beyond the full-sized model and design phase.
