The M31 Rescue Tool is an American -crawled evacuation vehicle from the Second World War. The first prototypes of this car were made at the end of 1942 and mass production started at the beginning of 1943. It is estimated that approximately 800 vehicles of this type were produced during the project. The length of the car's body was about 5.6 meters and the width was about 2.7 meters. There were no fixed weapons in the car. The M31 Rescue Tool was produced for the US army as the first, mass production and tracked evacuation vehicle in its history. In order to shorten research and development activities, the new tool was based on the body of the M3 Lee Middle Tank and many mechanical components. The main changes were related to the removal of weapons (75 mm balls in the body and 37 mm balls in the turret, as well as machine guns) and replace them with fake ball barrels and a crane in the tower. In addition, the interior of the vehicle was completely changed and two large tools were added to the back of the vehicle. The car was also given a crane.
