About Studebaker Golden Hawk

In the 1957 model year, the leather interior, a completely upholstered body and a luxury 400 with special decorations were introduced. Only 41 of these private cars were produced and today there are very few of 41. One of them is the first production model in the Studebaker Museum in South Bend.
For 1958, Golden Hawk moved to 14 -inch wheels instead of 15 -inch wheels and made the car a little lower. However, 15 -inch wheels were available as an option. Other style changes contained a new, round Hawk medallion mounted in the lower middle of the grill, and the current contrast -colored paint was applied to both the ceiling and tail wings. A unique feature was a vacuum indicator on the instrument panel. Pillowed dashboard panels were standard.
