ABOUT:
The first prototype flight is a hunting aircraft which was held on May 25, 1953, developed by North American and is based on F-86 Sabre. Russian equivalent is Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-19.In addition to the F-100Cs, the F-100D type, which is the AV-Bombardian type, has been developed and has found a wide range of use. This shipment was followed by F-100cs starting from 1972. 115 of them were sent. It is known that these aircraft are used by at least five air bases. Turkish F-100s were used intensively and effectively in the Cyprus Operation. The last THKV F-100 was retired in 1988.
