DB AG PIKO ICE 4 EP. 3 additional wagon sets for VI. In 2011, Deutsche Bahn AG gave Siemens Mobility to build up to 300 high -speed train to be used in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Developed jointly by Siemens and Bombardier, the new multiple units of the BR 412/812 will be strengthened with several wagons called power wagons. The train configuration here provides various modular units ranging from five wagons to 14 wagons. This concept means that the train can be easily adapted to the individual characteristics of transportation companies in terms of desired acceleration, speed and number of seats. DB has ordered multiple units with 85 twelve wagons and 45 seven wagons in basic configurations. These include the latest driverless wagons and control wagons, motor sitting wagons and in -car bistron, as well as motorized seating, food and service wagons. The multiple units with seven wagons have three motor wagons and have 200 meters long 456 seats. The multiple units with twelve wagons have six motor wagons and 830 seats with 346 meters long. Maximum speed is 250 km/h. The exterior design is based on the current ICE fleet and further developed. The first trains have been serving regularly in Hamburg-Würzburg, Stuttgart-Münih and Hamburg-Berlin-Münih lines since December 2017.
