O.S. About Engines

It was founded in 1936 by the machinery Shigeo Ogawa (Japanese surname "Ogawa Shigeo") for the production of model steam engines. The name of the company may be caused by the traditional Japanese family name tradition, the source of the name "Os", or from the real Japanese name of the company "Ogawa Seisakusho". On the suggestion of American buyer Paul Houghton, Ogawa prepared the first gasoline engine in which 1.6 CC OS Type-1 was produced and exported under the "Pixie" brand.

In the 1980s, in the 1990s and the 21st century, it brought increasing competition. OS is now the leading manufacturer of single and multi-cylinder aircraft engines from the FF-320 FF-320 four-time "giant four-cylinder and FR7-420 Sirius7 7.
