Hercules is a steam tugboat built in 1907 for the San Francisco shipowners and traders trailer company as part of the Red Stack fleet. In the first half of his life, Hercules was an ocean tug. Due to the dominant northwest winds, sailboat ships often used Hercules on journeys from San Francisco to the north. In other cases, Hercules were used to attract mavnas to other western coastal ports and Hawaii and to carry equipment for the construction of the Panama Canal. In 1947, Hercules and tugboat Monarch was assigned to attract the body of the Oklahoma warship to the Gulf of San Francisco to scrape. However, it was exposed to a strong storm 500 miles away from Hawaii and Oklahoma began to fill and sink with water. Hercules failed to survive until the last moment, and by Oklahoma to the bottom of the sea was saved. In 1986, the national historical monument was determined.
