Taksim-Tunnel tram

With a decree dated 20 August 1869, a contract is signed for a tram system in Dersaadet on 30 of the same month. Five months later, on 18 February 1870, "Istanbul Tram Company" was established.In 1908, the "Tunnel" line, which is part of the tram company consortium, was opened and connected with Taksim Square. The company and the line have been experiencing various ups and downs, including the First World War until June 1939, when it was expropriated and transferred to IETT, which has been transferred to it.In the 1960s, all tram lines in Istanbul were closed, and although the Taksim-Tunnel line became a means of transportation in the city, it would not be until 29 December 1990 to reopen the tourist tram.Our model tram collection, one of the cities in the world, includes this interesting historical model that will please scale tram modeling lovers.
