The establishment of NZG Nürnberger Zinkdruckguss-Modelle GmbH on October 1, 1968, the beginning of a success story that two common Betty Hauer and Gerhard Schmid could not even imagine at that time. Initially, the first NZG model in the congested rooms on the third floor of a furniture store in Tafelfeldstraße lifted the Weserhütte HW70 with 101 product number. Increasing demand for high -quality NZG models has made it necessary to move to larger facilities in a short time. Sigmundstraße 147, the current company center, was found to be appropriate and in 1985 the company was expanded to 3,000 m². In addition to the administration, the facility contained the mold production department, the paint, the production department, the warehouse and the shipment department. At heavy times, more than 400,000 models were produced here every year and were shipped worldwide. In 1986, Inge Ludwig (hymen Schmid), the daughters of the two company founders, joined the company and Hauer joined the company, and increasingly assumed more responsibility for the further development of the company. Thus, the route of a planned generation change supported by the transfer of company shares until the retirement of the company's founders Betty Hauer and Gerhard Schmid was determined early. In 2000, Hauer decided to sell his company shares to the Ludwig family. Inge Ludwig since the middle of 2000 and his wife Michael Ludwig, who has been in the company since 1988, became the only administrator partners of NZG.On July 1, 2021, Mark Ludwig, son of Inge and Michael Ludwig, joined NZG to successfully move the company to the third generation.
