Hobbytime Model Information

This kit recreates the BMW 320si E90 that competed in the 2008 World Touring Car Championship. This 1/24 scale model exactly replicates the car that won the 2008 WTCC race at Brands Hatch. The kit includes 3D printed parts for the front grille and BMW kidney grille, which perfectly capture the look of the car. The slits are sharper than the molded plastic parts, and the grille surround is a separate piece, creating a more realistic sense of depth. 3D printed parts also eliminate the need for separation lines, providing ease of use. They are also suitable for painting different grilles when using third-party decals. Of course, the BMW 320si, of which 2,600 units were produced as the Type E90 WTCC homologation model, not only retains its style, but also realistically recreates its undercarriage and interior with Platz/nunu's unique parts configuration. While the natural sections facilitate assembly, the surface is also mechanically perfect. Experience the power of a car racing for supremacy on the track. The interior has been meticulously modelled, including the extensive roll bar, instrument panel and floor. The markings are faithful to the car that won the WTCC race at Brands Hatch Circuit in 2008.

Touring car racing, where cars closest to production vehicles compete against each other, has always been very popular among motorsport fans around the world. BMW of Germany has long had a prominent place in the world of touring car racing. The first generation BMW M3, a modified version of the 3 Series, was launched in 1985. Modified versions of the E30 320 have performed in touring car races around the world, including Europe and Japan. The E36 model was released in 1993, and the E46-based M3 was released in 2000. The E90-based homologation model 320si made its debut at the WTCC in 2006. Like previous models, these modified cars performed well on the track.
