This plastic assembly kit recreates the Group A Volvo 240 Turbo that won the European Touring Car Championship in 1986. Even the finest details, such as the rear wing, have been meticulously recreated. The interior showcases no-frills Group A equipment, including the roll bar and instrument panel, and even the undercarriage is richly detailed, right down to the front and rear suspension and floor panel details. Developed by Swedish manufacturer Volvo, the Volvo 240 Turbo dominated Group A touring car racing from the 1980s to the 1990s, thrilling motorsport fans worldwide. Based on the Evolution model, of which 500 were produced in 1983, it was tuned to comply with Group A regulations. Its engine was a turbocharged 2141 cc inline four-cylinder OHC engine producing 340 horsepower. Combined with the lightweight 1,035 kg chassis, it offered excellent driving performance. After full racing involvement in 1984, the car won the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) in 1985 and repeated the ETCC title the following year.
