Lancia's Delta S4 rally car demonstrated its performance with a victory in its first race in the 1985 RAC Rally, the last race of the WRC. This was the first all-wheel drive model produced by Lancia, which has a long history in rally racing. The chassis was made of a tubular steel space frame and featured an inline four-cylinder engine placed in the midsection. Equipped with supercharger and turbocharger, the vehicle produced 500 horsepower. Featuring a body design that preserves the image of the Delta production car, the Delta S4 competed in the World Rally Championship as a Group B model. It was used by both factory teams and leading privateer racers. The black and gold Grifone car took a stunning victory in the 1986 Catalonia Rally.

This 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit recreates the Lancia Delta S4 that competed in the 1985 and 1986 rallies. It recreates the striking black and gold livery of the Grifone team that won the 1986 Catalonia Rally. Measuring approximately 170 mm long and 77 mm wide, the model realistically recreates the distinctive body style inspired by the Delta production car. The front and rear fairings can be removed even after assembly. The mid-mounted engine has been modeled in great detail, right down to its auxiliary equipment. The front and rear suspension also faithfully replicate its mechanical structure. In addition, the interior has been meticulously recreated, from the seats and instrument panel to the roll cage and various indicators, creating a simple atmosphere typical of rally cars and racing machines.
