İlyuşin il-86 (Russian: илью́шин ил-86; NATO Report Name: Camber) is a Soviet Jet Passenger aircraft produced by İlyuşin. The aircraft was developed in the 1970s and was put into service in 1980. The IL-86 was the first large-bodied and the world's second four-engine wide-body aircraft in the Soviet Union.

IL-86 was one of the planes designed in the last period of the Soviet Union. Developed during the reign of Leonid Brejnev, where many sectors of the Soviet industry entered the stagnation, the IL-86 had widely used engines in the 1960s and took more than a decade to develop and could not be trained to the Moscow Olympics. Mostly used from Aeroflot and post -Soviet airlines and only three of the 106 aircraft were exported. He was recognized as a safe and reliable model in service for 30 years without a fatal event in passenger transport operations. [2] It was replaced by il-96 in the 1990s.
