The FW-190s were designed as a single pilot, single-motor preventive (EN. Interceptor) hunter aircraft (then hunter-bombarding versions were also made). In 1941, he was put into service and 20,000 were produced, including 6,000 hunter-bombers during the war. In 1943, Türkiye bought 72 of these aircraft.
The FW 190s met Luftwaffe's basic hunter aircraft with the BF109s used in the same period. Design philosophy can be summarized as placing a strong air -cooled motor in the smallest possible body. We can also see the same design approach in BF109 (water -cooled motor). This tendency has allowed the production of highly high and maneuverability aircraft, but the operations of these aircraft, which are accepted as a front front front hunter aircraft, remained short in general. This handicap, which is seen in most European design aircraft, has become even more pronounced with the emergence of long-range hunters such as P-47 Thunderbolt and P-51 Mustang. The FW 190 has gained the appreciation of German pilots and competitors with a perfect viewing angle, heavy weapon load and high speed. However, contrary to the assumption, the FW 190 has not been driven to the front as a bomber prevention aircraft, the changing conditions and the inadequate firepower of the BF109s have led the FW 190s to undertake these tasks. Bombardment groups of the FW 190A series often have serious performance problems in high altitudes. Supercharge technology, which enables the performance of aircraft at high altitudes, has not been efficient in the BMW 801 series engines, which strengthen the FW190s. Therefore, the FW 190s, who tried to perform high altitude bombing tasks, formed an easy target for the 190s escort hunters.

The most remarkable feature of the aircraft is the sudden hospitalization that can be performed thanks to its short wings and balanced ELERON. The FW 190, which can make very sudden and controlled turns on its own axis, could have listed maneuvers that even the Spitfire, a hunter aircraft with a very high maneuver capability, could not follow. FW 190, known as the scissors movement in aviation and based on the sudden turns of the aircraft in a very short time, could easily survive the opponent who has followed him and had the advantage of maneuvering. FW 190, which is considered a successful design with its wide range of landing sets, electrical -controlled automatic control systems, high -speed maneuverability, heavy weapons load and development, and the increasing number superiority of the Allies, which were considered as a successful design.
