Magach 6 was an Israeli tank from post -war and modern times. The first vehicles of this kind came into service in the mid -1970s. The armament consisted of a single 105 mm ball, two 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm browning machine gun and 60 mm light air. In the 1960s, the Israeli army began to equip its armored forces with the new M48 tanks imported from the United States and M60 Patton since 1970. It was modern cars at the time, but the experience of the Israeli army from the Yom-Kippur War (1973) showed that these vehicles had disadvantages. In order to correct them, it was decided to make a large number of modifications that led to the creation of Magach 6 tanks as well as others. Magach 6 tanks are based on M60, M60A1 and M60A3 vehicles. All of them have the commander of the Urdan commander and the "blazer" reactive armor. In addition to the basic version, there were other versions, including the following: MAGACH 6 B (AVDS-1790-2C RISE motor), MAGACH 6 B GAL (Fire Control System GAL) or Magach 6 B gal batach (AVDS-1790-2C RISE motor version) SKO GAL, different shape of the new armor and the tower).
