Unlike the more famous Stug III attack weapon, the Jagdpanther tank hunter was not a combination of a modified war compartment and the Panther tank chassis. In fact, he is an early planned tank hunter who shares many pieces with Panther tanks. So some of Jagdpanther's features have changed differently than that of Panther. The core of this tank hunter was 8.8 cm pak 43 l/71 tank weapon. This powerful L/71 heavy tank weapon had some differences in the details with King Tiger's 8.8 cm KWK 43 ball. Jagdpanther also had extraordinary armor protection. The protection of the 80 mm curved front body armor was better than in the Tiger I. The 50 mm sloping armor on the sides was one of the best of World War 2 armor. Jagdpanther was also working with the same power system that provided excellent mobility. Jagdpanther's production lasted for a year and a half, and during the air strikes of the allies, only 400 units from the production line. Most Jagdpanther were Ausf. G1.
