The first prototypes of the French I-Nesil AMX-30 main battle tank were created in 1963. Mass production began in 1966, which led to the creation of approximately 3,500 vehicles of this type for both the use of the French army and export. The AMX-30 tank was run with the 720HP Hispano-Suiza HS110 diesel engine. The main weapon was 105mm CN105-F1 ball and the auxiliary weapon was a 20mm automatic ball and two 12.7mm and 7.62mm machine gun. Since the mid-1950s, the AMX-30 was created when the French army wanted to replace various American and German tanks with a single main battle tank. Initially, the work on the AMX-30 was carried out in cooperation with the German industry, but this cooperation was withdrawn a few years later. The AMX-30 tanks were introduced to the production line in the mid-1960s, and many special vehicles, including the AMX-30D release tank or amx-30EBG engineering vehicle, were created on their chassis. The amx-30 itself passed without a large number of upgrades. One of the most important of these was modernization to the amx-30B2 standard, which has been implemented since 1979, including the improvement of the suspension and the use of a new SKO (fire control system). The tank was very successful in foreign markets, especially among the countries in the Gulf Gulf. It was also used in the battle for example in the 1990 desert storm Operation.
