M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Talent Rocket Rocket System) is a wheeled launching model developed by the US army based on the M270 MLRS (multiple launch rocket system). It is equipped with six rocket launchers. While standard rockets have a range up to 45 km, Atacms (Army Tactical Missile System) can reach 300 km range. Thanks to its light design, the combat weight is only 10.9 tons and its maximum speed is 86 km/h. It can also be quickly deployed when a C-130 shipping aircraft moves by air and reaches the battlefield, thus combining its mobility with firepower.
