The series 60 was the brain of the new Cadillac manager Nicholas Dreystadt. When it was released in 1936, the Lasalles and Series 70 filled an empty price gap between the Cadillac models. Initially, 121.0 inch (3,073 mm) drove on the axle distance and shared the body B with cars from Lasalle, Buick and Oldsmobile. This rose to 124.0 inch (3,150 mm) in 1937-1938.The outer part had a new Harley Earl design with a long, thin grille and discrete vessel -shaped front glass. This body used Fisher Body's new one -piece roof and bentix dual servo brakes. The "Knee-Action", which was first released by Cadillac in 1934, was a pleasant innovation for the middle-priced market at that time.
