Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2007. According to a Lamborghini press release published in February 2007, Gallardo Superlegggera is the most sporty and most 'pure' Gallardo. Introduced as a light version of Gallardo, Superleggera is a direct rival of Italian, car, Porsche 997 GT3 and Ferrari 430 Suderia in the sense of "super light".
Lamborghini in Geneva showed two Gallardo Superleggeras, one in Grigio Telesto and the other in Arancio Borealis. The Grigio Telesto car was attached to the high rear wing, while the Arancio Borealis car was shown with a low rear wing. Both cars were equipped with European -style dish seats. The Grigio Telesto car, which has normal safety belts for Arancio Borealis car, was equipped with 4 -point safety belts.
