In 1965, Mr. Franz Kavan, a ballpoint pen designer and manufacturer at that time, accompanied a friend of the R/C flight area. He enjoyed flying and technical discussions with modelers who want to improve the performance of their aircraft. One of these discussions resulted in the idea of Mr. Kavan's first accessory: a control connection to the engine. However, since Mr. Kavan's test engine did not work reliably, he temporarily threw the control connection into the "background" and investigated the engine problem. A year later, a new carburetor was completed for Super Tigre 60. Introduced at the World Championship in Corsica, France, this innovative jar carburetor became famous worldwide.
