TİP 039G, also called Song Class by Western sources, is a kind of Chinese diesel-electric war submarine built by the shipyards in Wuhan and Shanghai in ÇHC (SSK). The first units of this type were put into service in 1998 and are still in service. It is even estimated to have 12-13 ships from this class. Song class ships are 74.9 m long, 8.4 m wide and have 2.250 tons of away. The maximum underwater speed is up to 22 knots.
