EMB-314 Super Tucano, also called Alx or A-29, is a turboprop aircraft designed for air discovery tasks in light attacks, counter-guerrilla (COIN), close air support, low threat environments and providing pilot training. Designed to operate in high temperature and moisture conditions in extremely rugged terrain, Super Tucano contains the 3rd generation Avionics and weapon system to provide precise guided ammunition with high maneuverability, low heat trace. Currently, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Burkina Faso serves the air force and has been ordered by Indonesia, Angola and the United States.

Short Tucano is a classic comet for low -wing configuration, a turboprop engine, a two -person British training aircraft. The flight took place in February 1986. The drive is provided by the 1100HP Garrett TPE331-12B engine. The first serial aircraft was put into service at the Central Flight School in mid -1988. Approximately 130 machines of such types were ordered instead of old jet provocies. Short Tucano planes were exported to Kenya and Kuwait.
