In 1936, RLM issued conditions for contact and artillery fire detection planes for Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe. This aircraft should have short take -off and landing performance. Fi-156 entered small-scale mass production in 1937. During the flight, the landing team was hung. This gives the plane a very long -legged look with a big winged bird. Fi156 was given a nickname - Storch (Crane).
The high -ranking officers and generals for the Storch, Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe spread widely as air taxi for reconnaissance plane and air ambulance. Storch was produced in different version A, C and D. High success storch was exported to the German ally - Hırvatistan, Finland, Sweden, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romanian Italy. After World War II, Stoch continued to serve on the front in different countries.
