On 25 November 2024, Emirates not only took delivery of the first of 65 Airbus A350 aircraft it has ordered, but also introduced the first new aircraft type to join the fleet since 2008. On its delivery flight from Toulouse, France, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, A6-EXA ran on a mixture of jet fuel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The A350 will make its maiden voyage on the Dubai-Edinburgh route in January 2025, followed by service to more destinations in the Middle East, West Asia and Europe.
