With the entry into service of the first A321neo in September 2024, the Dutch airline has begun to modernize its medium-haul fleet. All Boeing 737s will be gradually replaced by more efficient Airbus A320neo family aircraft. This aircraft, the first of thirteen A321neo aircraft, will initially be used on flights to Copenhagen, Berlin and Stockholm. PH-AXA takes its name from the swallow-tailed butterfly; Company employees supported giving butterfly names to the A321neo fleet, where the fleet's transformation will begin.
