The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is the American supersonic prevention plane and a hunter-bombardian plane. The F-104 is the fruit of the American experience in the Korean War, where most air victory was obtained with a single surprising blow. This meant that the new USAAF hunter plane should be fast and had a high climbing rate. It is also a reflection of the concept of "a man with a man on the ship with a man on the ship, which also functions in the second half of the 1950s and in the early 1960s. The flight of the prototype created by Clarence "Kelly" Johnson took place on February 7, 1954, and its entry into line units began on 1958. The serial aircraft was run with a general Electric J79 Turbojet engine with thin, trapezoidal wings and R21G / H radar. The F-104 was produced in several versions. The fundamental is the F-104A, which works as a hunter aircraft, and a F-104C with a hunter-bombardian aircraft. The next versions were produced primarily for export. F-104G, which has a stronger J79-GE-11 engine and improved avionics, went to Germany, a licensed version of the CF-104, F-104G, but a plane produced in Italy with the F-104S, J79-Oel-7 engine produced in Canada. Finally, F-104J was produced for Japanese Air Force with the J79-IHI-11A engine at Mitsubishi facilities. Designed to train test pilots, the aircraft was the NF-104 Rocket Starfighter. The F-104 was an incredibly difficult and "unforgivable" plane to fly. He was subjected to many accidents - only in German aviation, 110 of the 238 F -104 aircraft fell!
