The Lockheed F-22 Raptor is an American air superior warrior with electronic warfare and electronic clock as well as highly advanced place attack capabilities. F-22 was the winner of the competition announced in April 1991 for the advanced tactical fighter aircraft by the USAAF for 1981. At that time a program of 12 billion dollars was launched and the construction of an indirectly controlled Stealth fighter with extremely maneuverability began. The US navy participated in the program in April 1986, hoping to build the successor of Tomcat. Later in the same year, the Ministry of Defense announced that Lockheed and Northrop have switched to the next stage. Each of the companies would build a prototype called YF-22 and YF-23 respectively. From then on, Lockheed united his forces with Boeing and General Dynamics, which later resulted in the division of jobs on serial aircraft between Boeing and Lockheed facilities. The first prototype of the YF-22 was called 87-3997 / N22YF and equipped with newly built general Electric YF120 engines. The flight of the plane took place on 29 September 1990. Shortly thereafter, on October 30, 1990, a second 87-3998 / N22YF prototype, running with an alternative Pratt-Whitney YF119 engine, was blown. Northrop / McDonnell Douglas team after the care of the opponent YF-23 parameters carefully, the winner of the competition YF119 Motor YF-22 announced. The design of the F-22A's latest version was frozen in March 1992. In comparison with the prototype, the differences include the increase in the wing -shaped wing opening that did not increase the wing surface to 13.59 m, the thickness of the wing profile in the root, and the aircraft, which provided better controlability in terms of supersonic speeds. The area of the double vertical tail was reduced to 27.2 m2. The Lockheed F-22 Raptor is one of the first, even the only fifth generation warplanes in the world. Thanks to the use of a completely new power unit (two Pratt-whitney F119-PW-100 motor with vector-thrust) and low aerodynamic resistance, the speed of F-22 exceeds-2.4MA according to unofficial data. In addition, for example, it has a very maneuverability that allows you to make acrobatic figures such as pugacheva cobra or kulbit. Another important feature of the F-22 is Stealth technology based on aerodynamic perfection, general shape of the body and refined external details. However, the exact radar appearance (RCS) is still classified. It is also very important to use the extremely innovative AN / APG-77 radar that makes it possible to detect objects at about 250 km. Moreover, this allows the Radar F-22 to move like a "mini-Awacs" aircraft, which significantly increases the combat capabilities of the attack teams with this plane. In 2011, the production of F-22 ended with the production of 187 serial aircraft, as Lockheed had to protect production lines and facilities. F-22 is not exported due to technological progress.
