Hobbytime Review
Toyota Supra (Japanese: トヨタ・スープラ Toyota Sūpura) is a sports car model produced by Toyota between 1978-2002 [1] and since 2019. The vehicle was developed on the basis of Toyota Celica and in 1986 it was no longer a part of Celica and became an independent model. [2] Supra name of Latin origin, Supra; Above, EXSUPERO; to overcome and supergrediatur; It is derived from the words to go beyond. [3] The First Generation Supra has started to be produced in Tahara city in Aichi. The fourth generation Supra continued its production in Toyota, Japan. The fifth generation Supra is produced in Graz, Austria, together with BMW Z4.
In 1998, Toyota stopped the sale of the fourth generation Supra in the United States. [4] The production of Supra's fourth generation ended in 2002 in Japan.
The first four generations Supra appeared between 1978 and 2002. Fifth generation Supra was introduced in March 2019 and started to be sold in May 2019.
In February 1986, the bonds between Celica and Supra were broken and both were produced independently. Celica, using the "T" platform associated with Corona, a front -wheel drive layout, Supra preserved the back -wheel drive order. Supra was using a stronger 2,954 cc (3.0 L) in -row engines, worth 149 kW (200 HP; 203 PS). Although it initially used only a natural suction engine, a turbocharged version of the model was added in 1987. Supra was now mechanically associated with Soarer.
The Japanese market models with various versions of the vehicle's 2.0 L engine were generally slightly narrower for the Japanese government to be suitable for size arrangements. So Japanese buyers did not have to pay more taxes.
Both versions of the engine contained 4 valves per cylinder. Toyota's 7M-GTE engine, presented in the US, was the first distributor engine to use a cam location sensor. The new engine used in the A70 Supra was the Toyota 7M-GE, the flagship engine in Toyota's inventory. Both versions of the engine contained 4 valves per cylinder and double cams. CT26 was equipped with turbocharger and ranked as 172 kW (231 HP; 234 PS) at 5,600 RPM, and the natural suction 7m-Ge engine was ranked as 149 kW at 6,000 RPM (200 HP; 203 PS). More improvements were made in the turbo model, the power to 173 kW at 5,600 RPM (232 HP; 235 PS) and 254 lb⋅ft (344 n⋅m) at 3,200 RPM in 1989 raised torque. The reason for these changes was due to Wastegate's redesign. All models used 225 / 50R16 tires of the same size in 16x7 -inch wheels.
About Hasegawa
Hasegawa Corporation (株式会社ハセガワ, Kabushiki Gaisha Hasegawa) is a Japanese company that produces plastic model kits of various vehicles, including aircraft, cars, ships, military vehicles, model armor, model spacecraft and science fiction kits.
Hasegawa, headquartered in Shizuoka, does not have such a wide range of products, but competes with his neighbor Tamiya.
First of all, Hasegawa kits that use the polystyrene are typically considered very accurate, but still lack the ease of assembly offered by Tamiya Kits, although it is very high.
Hobbico is imported to North America by the Great Planet Model Distributor Department. Hasegawa ended his long -standing agreement with Dragon Models Limited for US distribution in early 2010. Hasegawa also brings Revell to Japan, which sells them to Japan and sells them under both the Revell brand and their own brand label, and Revell often re -boxes for European and North American markets.
Hasegawa Kits, which do not have their own paint products series, come with instructions that indicate the use of Gunze Sangyo products, especially GSI Creos brand paints. This is contrary to Tamiya, which determines the use of in -house brands.
Hasegawa is known for launching a large number of main products, adding or changing a small number of parts, or changing stickers only for SOE. This strategy allows them to raise the return of their investment in SET tools to the highest level, because the production of such small variations is very low compared to the production cost of the original. Most of such variations are usually published only once.
