AH-1 Cobra helicopter (Bell 209) is an attack helicopter in a classic order that uses many components of his "elder brother" UH-1 Huey. The first flight of AH-1 prototype took place on September 7, 1965 and the helicopter entered mass production in the same year. During the Vietnam War, 1,126 of the G model were produced and 279 of them were lost in the conflict. Thanks to its extremely reliable, small side profile and good performance, the helicopter still serves today at US Marine Posts. AH-1 allowed the US Army to fully implement the air-moving infantry ("air cavalry") through fire support of the landing infantry troops. AH-1 Cobra is used first against an armored selon today. As of 1965, several versions of this successful helicopter have been produced: AH-1G (Basic Version), AH-1J (two-motor version), AH-1Q (equipped with Tow missiles). Technical data: maximum speed: 333 km/h; Maximum range (depending on the version): 507-574km, Armament: Fixed 1 Piece 20mm M197 Three-barreled ball, strap rockets, guided missiles, non-steel missiles and ball capsules.
