Hobbytime Review

Türkiye first ordered 40 F-4E with the "Peace Diamond I" project "Peace Diamond I" and the aircraft began to be delivered to Turkish Air Force in 1974. In 1977, 32 more F-4E fleets were added to the second project, "Peace Diamond II". In 1981, 16 F-4E from the US Air Force within the scope of "Peace Diamond III" respectively, 14 F-4E from the US Air Force in the mid-1984 "Peace Diamond IV" and "Peace Diamond V" was retired from the US Air Force in 1987. Since Turkey supported the US in 1991 in the Gulf War in 1991, 40 more F-4E was delivered with "Peace Diamond VI". Since there is not enough RF-4 to meet international sales demands in the hands of the United States, 32 RF-4E, which retired from the German Air Force between 1992 and 1994, has been donated to Turkey. With the modernization project launched in 1997 with the Israeli Aviation Industry (IAI-Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd.), structural reinforcement on 53 F-4E in Turkish Air Force inventory, new generation navigation systems, HUD (Head-up Display), Hotas (Hands on Throttle-Ad-Stick), MFD (Multi-Function-Display), new generation radio equipment, existing An-APQ 120 radar with ELTA ELO/M-2032 radar was provided. In addition, the aircraft's ability to carry weapons is strengthened with a new generation of weapons. Within the scope of modernization, 28 aircraft of the F-4s were completed in the 1st Air Supply Maintenance Center Command in Eskişehir and 26 aircraft part of the Israeli Aviation Industry (IAI) facilities. After modernization, the aircraft was named F-4 2020/Terminator. F-4s are planned to act actively in the Turkish Air Force until 2020 after their modernization in 2002. However, RF-4E / TM aircraft was modernized in 2013 with the Light Project. On the evening of February 24, 2015, 2 RF-4E aircraft in Malatya, on the morning of March 05, 2015 at 09:48, 1 F-4E 2020 plane decreased in Konya, half of the F-4E aircraft in the TSK inventory fell. This has brought up the retirement of F-4E aircraft. On March 11, Muharip Air Force Commander Gen. Abidin Ünal said that RF-4E type discovery planes cannot be used as a reconnaissance aircraft as of March 12th. One of the first F4 pilots in the Turkish Air Force is Lieutenant Göksel Doğan and Captain Ali İlker Özgüler. On June 28, 1977, with the F4-E plane they used, they lost their lives on the foothills of Afyon Emirdağ during the radar prevention mission flight.

About Hasegawa

Hasegawa Corporation (株式会社ハセガワ, Kabushiki Gaisha Hasegawa) is a Japanese company that produces plastic model kits of various vehicles, including aircraft, cars, ships, military vehicles, model armor, model spacecraft and science fiction kits. Hasegawa, headquartered in Shizuoka, does not have such a wide range of products, but competes with his neighbor Tamiya. First of all, Hasegawa kits that use the polystyrene are typically considered very accurate, but still lack the ease of assembly offered by Tamiya Kits, although it is very high.

Hobbico is imported to North America by the Great Planet Model Distributor Department. Hasegawa ended his long -standing agreement with Dragon Models Limited for US distribution in early 2010. Hasegawa also brings Revell to Japan, which sells them to Japan and sells them under both the Revell brand and their own brand label, and Revell often re -boxes for European and North American markets. Hasegawa Kits, which do not have their own paint products series, come with instructions that indicate the use of Gunze Sangyo products, especially GSI Creos brand paints. This is contrary to Tamiya, which determines the use of in -house brands. Hasegawa is known for launching a large number of main products, adding or changing a small number of parts, or changing stickers only for SOE. This strategy allows them to raise the return of their investment in SET tools to the highest level, because the production of such small variations is very low compared to the production cost of the original. Most of such variations are usually published only once.
