Nakajima C6n Saiun is a Japanese, single -motor, built -in, low -winged discovery plane with a classic queue of the Second World War. The crew consisted of three people: a pilot, an observer and a navigator/artillery. The design of the aircraft was largely based on the same company's B6N resident bombardment aircraft. The prototype flight took place on May 15, 1943, but due to engine failures, mass production began in 1944 as C6N1. Due to the very good performance of the machine, it was quickly decided to create a hunting version called C6N1-S. The power unit of both versions was the NK9B Homare 21 engine with a 1990 -cylinder Nakajima NK9B Homare 21 engine. Machines were used to the end of the war. The hunter version was designed to fight against B-29 bombardment planes. Approximately 460 c6n was produced. Technical Data (Version C6N1): Length: 11 m, wing openness: 12.5 m, height: 3.96 m, maximum speed: 610 km/h, climbing speed: 12.2 m/s, maximum range (with air tanks): 5310 km, ceiling 10.470 m, armament: Fixed-Machine Rifle Type 1, Calibre 7,92 mm.
