K5 28 cm Kanone 5 E (Eisenbahn), II. It is a German rail ball developed by Krupp as a part of the "Sofort Program" during World War II. It was the most successful German rail ball of that period. The prototypes were held in 1936, and during the invasion of France, Wehrmacht had already 8 such balls. A traditional 280 mm of the K5 E is a 310 mm -free version known as the K5 Glatt. K5 participated in the French operation in 1940 and the battles of Leningrad (1942) and Stalingrad (1942-1943). In addition, during the Aniso Battle in Italy (1944), they gained a lot of reputation when they were very effectively disturbing the allied positions of two German K5 E, "Robert" and "Leopold". The second ball is currently on display at the museum in Aberdeen. Technical data: range: 60 km, caliber: 283 mm, battle weight: 218T, fire speed: 1 shot in 3-4 minutes, the first speed of the bullet: 1120 m/s.
