Messerschmitt BF (ME) 109, II. World War II German hunter plane. It was designed in the 1930s by Willy Messerschmitt (Vili Mesırşimit). Messerschmitt 109 was the first flight of the prototype BF 109 V1 in May 1935. Jumo motor "B-1", which started to be produced in Feb of 1937, entered the service at Luftwaffe. The Jumo 210 engine was also used in "B", "C" and "D" models. Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine was used in the BF 109 E model, which remained in production from January 1939 to the beginning of 1942. The production of the "G" model began in May 1942. Messerschmitt 109, approximately 12,000 BF 109 g, a total of 35,000 were manufactured.
