Suzuki Jimny is a Japanese off-road vehicle that was first introduced to the public in 1969. Mass production started at the beginning of 1969-1970 and is still continuing. Throughout the production process, vehicles were produced in various cities around the world, including Iwata in Japan or Bekasi in Indonesia. The Jimny model was developed and put into production shortly after Suzuki Motor Corporation acquired Hope Motor Company, which specialized in the production of relatively small off-road vehicles. The knowledge and experience of this manufacturer was fully used in the design of the Jimny model. Initially, the Suzuki Jimny was a classic small off-road vehicle with a rather simple but reliable design and style, with an engine displacement of up to 0.7 liters. However, over a long series production period (1969-1970 to the present), many facelifts and engine range expansions were made. Today, the third generation of these vehicles is still produced, but it will be replaced by the fourth generation at the beginning of 2018-2019.
