The BMW 3 is a series of German middle -class passenger cars with its first copy in 1975. The mass production started the same year and still continues. The car is run and operated with a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines depending on the version. Production has concentrated in the BMW AG factory in Munich and is still intensifying. The BMW 3 model was developed as the successor of the 1500 and 1600 models in the company's proposal and into production. During mass production, six generations of the BMW 3 series were produced. The first of these (marked as E21) was produced between 1975-1983 and initially available as a 2-door sedan. Between 1982 and 1994, the second generation (E30 name) entered into production with cosmetic style changes, but presented much more existing body versions - for example, a 4 -door sedan or over -opened body. The BMW M3 was also created on the basis of this version. During the 1991-2000 period, the third generation of the BMW 3 series (E36 name), which has an in-depth-modified style and design and presented in the body versions such as sedan, coupe and the top. It was quite successful in the market. Between 1998 and 2006, the fourth generation of BMW 3 was produced under the name E46. The basic and additional equipment was enriched and the style had changed a little. The fifth generation was produced between 2004-2013 (as E90) - Suspension, traction and engine range was improved. Finally, the last generation of BMW 3 to date is the VI generation, which has entered production in 2011 and is still produced.
